Hair care, like skincare, is not a one-sized fits all. We all have unique needs when it comes to our hair & making it feel & look it’s best. My dry, coarse hair requires different products than my daughter’s oily, fine hair. For that reason, I am always testing out different brands & products in an attempt to find what works best for us. Plus, I like to keep my hair guessing, which is why I often switch things up! So, let’s talk Innersense!
Innersense Organic Beauty
I discovered Innersense – a sustainable, non-toxic hair care brand whose products contain certified organic ingredients – a few years ago. Between my family & I, we have tried their shampoo/conditioners, styling products, leave-in treatments and hair masks. But, before I get into any specifics, I thought I should mention that this is a brand I mainly use for my kids. While there are a few styling/treatment products that I LOVE and still use, will go into more details in a bit, there are just other shampoo & conditioners that I prefer for my hair type. With that said, let’s get into it.
Our Favorites
Gonna get right into it and tell you some of our favorites that we still use!
- Pure Harmony Hairbath & Pure Inspiration Conditioner – This is probably my favorite shampoo/conditioner combo for my kids. About a year ago, I realized that I needed to up their hair care routine. They were getting older & the products they were using just weren’t cutting it anymore. Pure Harmony Hairbath is a gentle sulfate-free shampoo recommended for fine to medium hair. It has a subtle yummy, citrus scent, not overpowering but just enough. Also, provides a good amount of suds, which is a plus for me. Pure Inspiration conditioner is lightweight & also recommended for fine to medium hair. Doesn’t weigh down their hair & leaves it feeling really soft.
- Sweet Spirit Leave in Conditioner – This is a great lightweight detangling spray. We spray it all over on towel-dried hair & use our Tangle Teezer brush or a comb to work it through the hair & get out those knots!
- I Create Hold Styling Gel – Hair gel wasn’t something that we used a lot in our household, but as my little guy is getting older, he loves to style his hair in the mornings. This is a great gel that provides good hold while still leaving your hair feeling soft and not super crunchy.
Now onto my favorites from Innersense…
- Hydrating Hair Mask – This is one of my FAVORITE hair masks & not just by Innersense, but overall. This mask is great for all hair types and helps to repair & revitalize dry, coarse & damaged hair. Formulated with shea butter, tamanu & coconut oils, flax seed & quinoa, this powerhouse mask really does deliver intense hydration. My hair looks healthier with just one use & is left feeling incredibly soft. And it smells AMAZING!!! Will continue to purchase this over and over again.
- Detox Hair Mask – While this isn’t a favorite of mine from Innersense (Hydrating Hair Mask won my heart), it really is a nice mask that is worth mentioning. It also serves a completely different purpose. Detox mask is a clarifying treatment that helps to remove buildup & draw out impurities and toxins from your hair and scalp. Within the past year, I have learned about the importance of incorporating clarifying treatments into our haircare routine. Over time build up of products causes our hair to look dull & lifeless. This mask contains contains charcoal, kaolin & white vinegar, which work together to remove that buildup, without stripping your hair. Great for all hair types & textures.
- Whipped Creme Texturizer – Formulated with organic shea butter & honey. This is a fantastic texturizing cream! Provides great hold & still leaves your hair feeling soft. No more crunchy hair!
Wish List
While I would LOVE nothing more than to try every single product from every conscious beauty brand, that’s just not possible. I do have a wishlist of items from Innersense that I would love to try & hope to have the opportunity to try in the future.

- I Create Waves – a pink, Himalayan salt spray
- Hair Love Prep Spray – protects your hair against heat & environmental exposures
- Clarity Hairbath & Conditioner – this is a newer collection that I was just recently made aware of that is hypoallergenic, fragrance-free & made for those with sensitivities & allergies. I will definitely be trying this for my daughter who has more sensitive skin.
