To say I have a mask obsession is an understatement. Masks are my favorite skincare product to test. Maybe it’s the instant gratification of seeing your glowing skin afterwards or the spa-like experience that makes me happy. I may not prioritize going to the spa very often…I think my last facial was over 4 years ago! But I do make an effort to mask a few times a week depending on my skin’s needs. While I have more than I can count, there are some standouts that I reach for over and over again. I’m sharing a list of my favorite clean beauty masks that give me instant results & glowing skin!
Agent Nateur holi (bright) resurface glass face mask
This is a recent addition to my collection. It was released late 2021 and became a quick favorite of mine. I use it so much that it’s almost empty! This says ALOT given the amount of skincare I buy.
Agent Nateur’s holi bright is a gel-like consistency that smells like cucumber and feels wonderfully cooling on your skin as you apply it. This mask goes on clear so you can put it on and go about your business (those on your zoom call will just notice your beautiful, glowing skin)! It tightens as it dries down, but not in a way where you can’t move your face. Have you ever tried those masks that harden as they dry, and you can’t move your face at all or if you do, the masks starts to crack and you look like you have a face full of wrinkles?? Well, if you have, then you know what I’m talking about and this is NOT like that at all! Instead, your complexion looks smooth, bright and with a glasslike glow!
Formulated with a combination of powerful ingredients…
- aloe vera – hydrates and soothes your skin, without feeling greasy. Great for dry, sun-exposed skin.
- French silk peptides – 100% natural silk proteins help skin to retain moisture, stimulate collagen production and brighten skin.
- Pitaya extract – many of you may know this as dragon fruit. Contains high levels of Vitamin C and minerals, and helps your skin feel firm and lifted.
- hyaluronic acid – extremely hydrating, helps pull moisture to the surface of your skin for instantly brightened skin.
- lactic acid – works as a gentle exfoliant to slough away dead skin cells without irritating your skin.
You should leave this mask on for minimum 15 minutes or overnight for more intense results. This is my go-to mask for when I’m looking for instant WOW results…think facial in a jar! I love to use holi (bright) on days where I have somewhere to be and I want my skin & makeup to look flawless!
Josh Rosebrook Active Enzyme Exfoliator
While there are many masks that serve different purposes, everybody needs a great exfoliator. Why? Because over time our skin begins to look dull. With exfoliation, we remove the dead skin cells from the surface of our skin to reveal brighter, smoother skin. This also allows our skincare products to penetrate deeper. Now imagine all that expensive skincare you splurged on just sitting on top of your skin, unable to penetrate to work its magic. I KNOW, GASP!
Josh Rosebrook’s Active Enzyme Exfoliator is one of my favorites because it exfoliates via two methods, enzyme & mechanical exfoliation. Josh’s formula uses fruit and herbal enzymes to gently slough away dead skin while including finely ground walnut shells to mechanically exfoliate skin. Also, raw honey and nutrient-dense plant oils help to restore moisture. Josh recommends leaving this mask on for 10 minutes to 1 hour. Remove with warm water and be prepared for baby soft skin!
Exfoliation is not one size fits all. It’s important to remember that everyone’s skin needs are different and our own personal needs can vary depending on weather and other factors. I personally try to exfoliate about 1-2 times a week. My skin is not sensitive and can probably handle more, however I have found this to be a good fit for me. The great thing about the Active Enzyme Exfoliator is you can eliminate the mechanical exfoliation if you feel it’s too rough on your skin, or you skin doesn’t need it at the moment. Just sit back and let the enzymes do the work!
True Botanicals Resurfacing Moisture Mask
While I would love a spa-like experience every day, that’s not always possible (insert sad face emoji). Sometimes we just don’t have time for a lengthy skincare routine. Whether it’s work, kids or just plain ol’ exhaustion (or laziness). Some days call for QUICK & EFFECTIVE!
True Botanicals Resurfacing Moisture Mask doesn’t just deliver soft, smooth & radiant skin, but it does so in under 5 minutes. No, that’s not a typo. This mask is meant to be applied for 2-5 minutes. Apply a thin layer of the mask, let it do its thing while you brush your teeth and then remove with a warm, wet washcloth. You will feel a bit of a tingle, but nothing too uncomfortable. Just enough to tell you it’s working.
This mask has a gel-like consistency and a GORGEOUS bright orange color. It applies almost clear, with just a slight tinge of color. Formulated with lactic acid, a gentle exfoliant that removes dead skin cells without irritating your skin and another key ingredient, Astaxanthin (haematococcus pluvialis extract). Josh Rosebrook Cacao Antioxidant Mask
This post wouldn’t feel right without including this mask. Josh Rosebrook’s Cacao Antioxidant Mask made me fall in love with masking! First off, it smells DELICIOUS! Think rich chocolate cake smothered all over your face. This purifying mask is formulated with rich cacao antioxidants, which help to slow skin cell decline and stimulate circulation. I do experience some tingling with this mask, but nothing bothersome. You will likely experience some redness, but that’s OK! Per Josh, “Slightly reddish skin for 30-45 minutes after application indicates desired increased blood circulation.” For me, it’s that perfectly flushed, glowing skin you experience after a fantastic workout!
What can I say? This mask is PURE MAGIC! My skin feels soft, clean, nourished, rejuvenated – everything you want out of a facial treatment! Here are a few tips to help improve your experience. First, apply this mask quickly, because once it dries it will be hard to spread. Also, leave the seal on and pull it back only when using the product. True Botanicals Moisture Lock Overnight Mask
This mask is a little different from the others included in this post. It has the consistency of a lightweight night cream and is applied as the last step in your nighttime skincare routine to lock in moisture. You do not rinse it off. Instead, go to bed and let the mask do its thing. You will wake up to silky smooth, baby soft skin. Rinse with warm water in the morning.

This is one of those products that you may not think is doing anything until you stop using it. And then you remember why you loved it so much! My dry skin loves the hydration boost, and my makeup applies so much smoother on days that I use this mask.
